A Bit About Me
Hi! I'm SJ. I have a Bachelor degree in Exercise Science, Certified Exercise Physiologist with ACSM, and a HAES informed Body Positive, LGBTQI+, all-inclusive trainer. As a woman in a larger body, I have spent my fair share of time obsessed with exercise and food. I am so grateful to have found my way to the body positive fitness community. I am passionate about building this community and creating a non-judgmental inclusive space where people in all body types, from all cultures, and all identies can find joy in movement and reconnect with their body and find community.
What I Do
Train: One on one or small group personal training, and group fitness classes. I'm passionate about corrective exercise for injury prevention, weightlifting and body mechanics, endurance, boxing, and kickboxing.
Recover: The fitness industry is full of "no pain, no gain" and it leaves out a crucial piece. Recovery! I educate clients on how to help their bodies recover after and in between workouts. For example stretching, assisted stretching, and soft tissue self mobilization, and REST!
Rebuild: When we Reconnect with our body, Rediscover what movement feels good, and allow it to Recover, that's when our body is able to Rebuild and strengthen!
Schedule
I offer personal training in a shared gym space, remote at your home, outdoors, or virtual. Each one comes with different limitations, and we can discuss which is the best fit for you. The group classes are Fridays and Sundays and require registration. I highly encourage trying out the group classes because I believe it is important to create and find community in an inclusive space!

Sunday Circuits: Circuit style workout that includes strength, mobility, balance, and kickboxing. Fun, challenging, and functional!

Weightlifting 8:00 AM
Kickboxing Circuits 9:00 AM
Weightlifting: All experience levels welcome. Even in a group setting, we will meet your where you're at. Bodyweight, free weight, and barbell lifting.
Kickboxing Circuits: Cardio kickboxing circuits. Can include partner work.

Personal training
While I focus on correct movement and body awareness in all sessions, during personal training sessions we will build a program specifically for you based on your wants, needs, and goals. All goals are weight neutral and non-nutritional. HAES informed, anti-diet culture training.
